Let's RUN!

Weather: Nice and cooler
Temperature: Just above dew point
Distance: What ever your schedule calls for, 2, 5, 8, 10, etc.
Training level: 5k, 1/2 Marathon distance, Marathon, or any training regime (beginners are welcome).
Terrain: Soft gravel trails, mild grade hills
Location: Umstead - O'l ready creek entrance

Join us for a Sunday early morning run and breakfast afterwords. We'll start at our traditional Sunday run location.
The starting point will be behind Lake Crabtree, then run the Old Reedy Creek Road through Umstead Park.
Please try to change your vote to a solid Yes or No by Saturday evening to get a fairly accurate count of who is going to be here. We will start the run punctually at 6:40 AM and, for those who are interested, head out to Cafe Carolina afterward.
This is a great run for beginners since the course is an out-and back. Some runners run to the end of the park (the fence) ~ 5 miles, then ~ 5 miles back. Others may opt to increase or decrease that time and the pace is up to you. As a note, several runners use this as their long run, so if your schedule calls for a LONG-RUN, come join us.
If you are running late call my cell: 618 204 1201.

See U there!

I think running is therapeutic within itself... Going the distance at Umstead just brings about a satisfaction second to none... Having "GOOD COMPANY" to take on the inclines, well... PRICELESS. Geoff and Kate, thx 4 Da Ride - by far, best Group Run of the year !!!

The ride from Hillsborough is about 46 minutes taking Hwy 40 and bypassing Chapel H. There will be another 7:00am workout run for those who can't make it at 6:30 am. See the google map: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=hillsborough%20to...

OK, this looks like a run I could do as a beginner trail runner and also looks like there may be others running around a 10 mm pace....so this will be my first outing with the group! How much time do you think I need to give myself to get there, coming from Hillsborough? Thanks!
