Thanks, Doug. I might just push him for the fun of it. I think he'd like it. Hills are good practice. :)

Hello Leslie, The run is suitable for a baby jogger, if you do not mind pushing the baby jogger up some hills. It is the bridal trail and used by cyclists.

Does anybody know if the run would be suitable for a jogging stroller? I know it says it's gravel, but I'm wondering if it would still be okay to push my 4 year old, not too bumpy.

This is a nice race with some good hills thrown in for fun on Reedy Creek. I'll probably do my usual procedure and run from Harrison Ave entrance through Umstead to the start, participate in the race and then back. Let me know if you want to join me.

But just one thing... bring your own water for the run if you are going to want it. Last year it was very warm ( believe it or not it was about 85 in the shade that morning!!) and at the water stop they dont hand you a cup of water because they don't want people to litter- they hand you a whole bottle and you have to run with it the rest of the race!! Good intention but it definitely slows you down...

    •  I enjoyed it. I ended up pushing my son in the stroller. The uphills were slow, but the downhills were fast. Great time.
    •  Had a good run (shaved 0:01:24 off my time from last year). Congrats to Jeff for coming in first male master and Doug for as usual kicking my b*tt :-). Fast on the first down hill then realization set in that I may have gone out just a little too fast on the way to top of cork screw, going back down at a decent pace and then trying to keep the legs turning over up on the "easy way out" of the park. Certainly not an easy 4 miler but satisfying.
