I thought I'd try something new while I'm still restricted by my knee and only doing short runs. Join me for a nice jaunt around Lake Lynn in northwest Raleigh. I'll be doing 2 laps, which is a little over 4 miles, at an easy 9-9:30mm pace.

I'll try to post this a couple times a month and while I'm not doing any really long runs (or just when I don't feel like driving out to Umstead).

We'll meet at the entrance off of Ray Rd, down by where the path begins.
Note: there are bathrooms at the community center for those of you who may need them.

    Sorry, Scott. We are meeting at the entrance off of Ray Rd (where the community center is). We'll meet in the parking lot by the entrance that takes you down to the lake.

    I need to pay attention better. I read Lake Lynn, but my brain saw Shelly Lake somehow and that is where the greenway comment came from.

    Correct, Lake Lynn does not connect to the Raleigh greenway system. Several years ago, I read about future plans to connect it to the greenway that goes behind Crabtree Mall to Oak Park, but I don't think these plans ever solidified.

    I may post this run (or a Saturday run) in the future at Shelley Lake. Many more options there, of course.

    John, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Lake Lynn connects to the greenway.
